extravaGONZO was borne when founder Tom Stevens was unsatisfied when using a competitor’s roasted garlic olive oil.
Tom’s desire for a crisp, pure taste left him thinking, “I can do better.”

Tom loves to cook and is a flavor fanatic. He wanted an oil that wasn’t as heavy, where the infused flavor stood out. He found that a blend of 80% premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 20% fresh grapeseed oil was magical, and his first 2-gallon batch of roasted garlic oil was met with rave reviews. After that reaction, Tom became as passionate about creating the perfect oil as he was about his passion for flavor. It was “the perfect storm” that ignited a GONZO attitude in Tom’s life and work.
